Abstract
Now a day it is most ordinary to see an African American candidate, furthermore an African American president. It has become less rare in generally seeing African American diplomats, lawyers thus successful African American. Although they would not have been in the place of the people they are today, was it not for the civil right movement. Throughout the sixties there were several activists who stood up to achieve a goal, a goal which signifies freedom and rights. See in the early sixties the African American population in America lived under oppression, discrimination, segregation and racism.
This paper examines the different actions used to achieve liberation; this project also contains an analysis of a manifesto by a radical movement The Black Panthers Party. Furthermore it includes a valuation of why the radical movement became prominent throughout the 1960’s. By examining these various factors I also evaluate if the used radical agents were useful in terms of achievements.
I hereafter conclude that it is absolutely impossible to point out the most effected agents, between non-violence and violence, for the reason that both of them in fact play an exceptional role in the civil right movement, and therefore I determinate that both methods together made a change in the United States of America.
