Illegal immigration fra Afrika til Spanien

Abstract

Millions of illegal immigrants from the West African countries live in Spain. They have crossed the Mediterranean Sea in small, fragile boats hoping to put the poor living conditions and the poverty in their native countries behind them. They wish to start over in the high developed Europe. This paper will expound the living conditions of Senegal, Ivory Coast and Spain by using theories about welfare models and by economic parameters. The study comprises of a new critical analysis of a Spanish poem and short story with focus on the representation of the African immigrants and their encounter with Spain. The studies show that the texts try to propagate the poor living standards of the illegal immigrants; that they are living a hard and poor life with few opportunities, with their lives at stake and with crushed dreams. This assignment examines how the living conditions of the illegal immigrants of Africa are being represented in the Spanish texts, and whether these texts are with or without foundation. The facts show that the texts very much give a realistic depiction of the lives of millions of illegal immigrants in Spain. [Læs mere…]

Modeller, funktioner og radioaktivitet

Abstract

Modeller, funktioner og radioaktivitet

This paper explores the various kinds of radioactive decay, with focus on nuclides that can be found in the nature. This paper explains the importance of a nuclide table when dealing with radioactive decay, for the reason being that over 3000 nuclides known today have different decay types. This paper illustrates a real world problem, and thereafter translates it into a model from the mathematical world in order to explain the problem. On the basis of this it describes the importance and flaws using a model when trying to define radioactive decay for the reason being that decay can never be precisely predicted . A exploratory trail is in this paper analyzed for the purpose of reviewing the models used and the limitations it has. The paper demonstrates the analysis by holding the results from the trail up against theoretic values, and on the basis of these confirm the model and the limitations the model holds. At last the paper explains and discusses the use of intrgral in order to calculate the number of decays in a time period, and how integral can be used to review the model and its flaws. [Læs mere…]

Fukushimaulykken og teorien for det radioaktive henfald

Abstract

This paper explores the Fukushima dai-ichi accident that released large amounts of radioactive nuclides into the atmosphere, with focus on the reason why it happened in the first place and the consequences it had for the European population. The paper explains the two radioactive nuclides that people worried most about, iodine-131 and caesium-137, and how it could come into the human body and how it would interact with the body. The paper demonstrates the theory behind radioactive decay with focus on halve life and activity. The paper also explains the radiation doses that is used to determine the harm the radiation can have on biological tissue. The paper analyses the amount of radioactive nuclides released into the atmosphere and the spread from Fukushima in Japan to Europe in order to determine consequences. Furthermore the paper discusses the parallel between the Fukushima dai-ichi accident and the Chernobyl accident from 1986. The paper characterizes the genre popular science article and which role the readers have on how the article is written. The paper then demonstrates how a popular science article can be written when about the theme of the Fukushima dai-ichi accident and its consequences for a self-elected media and target group. The paper then analyses and discusses the article and its features used. [Læs mere…]

Pesten i Europa 1347-1350

Problemformulering
