Højmiddelalderen og senmiddelalderen

Indledning

Abstract

In this assignment, I investigate the behaviour of the voters in Denmark. I investigate why voters make the choices they do and why they pick a particular party over another. Through the research of some of the behaviours used by different voters I developed three hypothesis, regarding factors like Pierre Bourdieu and the Minerva model, issue-voting and party identification. By using chi-square tests, I was able to disprove or confirm these hypothesis, and I came to the conclusion that the conduct of the voters come from more than one variable. These theories can be used independently, but I think that if they are combined, you will get a much clearer vision of what a future election will be like. This is exactly what I did. With my new knowledge of the behaviours of voters, I tried to foresee what behaviour would be dominant in the next general election. Using opinion polls, my proven hypothesis about voting behaviour and knowledge of the political state, I discussed what behaviour would be most likely to be used. Due to a lot of floating voters and a red government moving away from their initial policy, many voters is likely to change party. Enhedslisten is an extremely red party and they have gained a lot of popularity the last couple of months. Due to these circumstances and different variables I came to the conclusion that issue-voting and the branch of this, which says the voter chooses the party that will pull the actual policy the right way, according to the voter, is going to be prominent at the next general election.
